Western Union Gold Card

Western Union has recently announced the introduction of the new Western Union Gold Card, which is aimed at frequent users of the Western Union money transfer service. POAAL wrote to AP asking for details of the new Gold Card, and an update on when the service will be available at post offices.The Western Union Gold Card will enable customer details to be stored with Western Union. This should reduce the time required to complete transactions because of the details recorded on the card. AP estimates that transaction times for customers using the Western Union Gold Card should be reduced by 35%.AP advises that its systems are currently being upgraded to accept Western Union Gold Cards from October 2005.Western Union money transfers are a growing source of business for Licensees, and it is hoped that the Gold Card will make Western Union transactions simpler and swifter, and that there will be an increase in repeat business at LPOs.
