Second log of claims - update

Commissioner Grainger today handed down his decision relating to the CEPU's ambit log of claims sent to a number of Licensed Post Offices in 2004.The Commissioner has found a dispute exists between the CEPU and a number of Licensees who were subject to the CEPU's log of claims. He has directed the parties to confer on the issues in dispute.POAAL will again be looking after Licensees' interests in this matter. Discussions with the CEPU will commence in due course.POAAL offered to represent all Licensees affected by the CEPU's action at no extra cost to individual Licensees. POAAL appeared in the Australian Industrial Relations Commission (AIRC) on behalf of the majority of those Licensees at hearings held in late 2004 and early 2005.It is expected that the Licensees against whom a dispute was found will be "roped in" to the Postal Services Industry Award.POAAL will keep Licensees up-to-date with significant developments in this matter.
