At POAAL's request, AP has been investigating the problem of discrepancies between EPOS terminals in the same office in the pricing of AP-sourced products. POAAL raised this matter with AP at a national level following input from a number of Licensees across Australia.POAAL was concerned that these discrepancies in pricing could mean that Licensees' margins are reduced by virtue of the items scanning as an incorrect (lower) price. It could also lead to conflict with customers over comparative prices.AP has advised POAAL that where Licensees encounter this problem, they should contact the National EPOS Helpdesk to report it. AP advised that the Helpdesk has a remote process that it can run to synchronise the LPO server and terminals.AP advised POAAL that it is developing software changes that they hope will eliminate the occurrence of pricing errors between EPOS terminals at the same outlet.
