Commitment by Australia Post

The current issue of Business Review Weekly (BRW, Jan 19 - Feb 22, 2006) features franchising. One of the featured retail networks was Australia Post's proposed franchised postshop concept. It makes for interesting reading.Australia Post, POAAL and the CEPU were all interviewed for the article. A quote from a senior Australia Post manager will be of major interest to Licensees. Mr Bill Mitchell, General Manager Commercial, is quoted as saying, "For example, we will not locate a franchised outlet in an area that would adversely affect a corporate or licensed outlet."This commitment by Mr Mitchell will be welcomed by Licensees.
