Australia Post has reported an interim profit of $50.4 million for the six months to 31 December 2025.
Letter volumes fell by 11.5% compared to the same period in the previous year. Despite the 20c BPR increase that came into effect in July 2025, the letters service reported an interim loss of $2.1 million.
Parcel volumes increased by 5.1%, and parcels revenue was $3.61 billion, up 4.1% on the same period last year.
"We operate in an environment where competition from mega marketplaces and gig economy logistics providers is intensifying, margins are tightening and our market share is shrinking," said Australia Post CEO and Managing Director Paul Graham.
