AUSTRAC - $500 annual fee

Recent media reports have suggested that AUSTRAC will impose a $500 annual fee on LPOs from July 2011.POAAL has been in contact with the Minister for Home Affairs and Australia Post regarding this proposal.POAAL is of the strong opinion that this $500 fee must not be introduced. We will be meeting with the Minister's office soon to put this to them in person.You can play your part. POAAL has created a pro forma letter that you can use as the basis of a letter to the Minister, Brendan O'Connor. You may also wish to write to your local federal member of parliament.Your support is needed.
