The ACCC today announced its decision to not object to Australia Post’s proposed price increase for reserved ordinary letter services. The Basic Postage Rate (BPR) will increase from $1.70 to $1.85.
Concession and seasonal greeting stamps will remain unchanged at 60c and 65c. The number of concession stamps eligible customers can purchase each year has increased from 50 to 75.
Australia Post is expected to implement the pricing changes on 1 September 2026. This is subject to the Minister for Communications not disapproving the proposed price increase within 30 days of receiving the price notification.
