POAAL is an independent and experienced industry body for Mail & Parcel Contractors.

Australia Post and Star Track Contractors need to provide their own vehicle and cover all their own operating costs, including fuel, vehicle maintenance, insurance and superannuation.

POAAL has an insurance referral agreement to assist its Australia Post & Star Track Contractor members with insurance matters. GSK Insurance Brokers can help with general insurances such as:

  • Public liability insurance
  • Marine cargo insurance
  • Commercial vehicle insurance
  • Personal accident insurance

Premium instalment options available.

For referring members, POAAL will receive commissions for any business placed via this referral arrangement.

UPS orders plastic vans

International parcel delivery company UPS has ordered 150 plastic-bodied delivery vehicles. In a year-long trial of composite-bodied vans, the vans delivered a 40% increase in fuel efficiency compared to the standard equivalent van.
