French postal service orders 10,000 electric vans

It has been announced that La Poste, the French postal service, will order 10,000 electric Kangoo vans from Renault. The Kangoo Z.E. is the electric version of Renault's light commercial vehicle.

Changes to prices surveillance of letters

The Federal Government has announced that it will make changes to the ACCC's role in prices surveillance of letters. Under the changes, the ACCC will oversee the pricing of the basic postage rate, but will cease to oversee pricing of letter products such as bulk mail.

POS technology for manual LPOs

Out of Australia Post’s network of nearly 3000 LPOs, 464 do not have access to EPOS (Australia Post’s electronic point-of-sale network). Without EPOS, LPOs cannot offer their local community services such as: EFTPOS banking transactions; CBA debit card deposits/withdrawals; mobile phone top-ups; proof of identity transactions; and business banking. POAAL believes that all Australians deserve access to a first-class postal service, regardless of where they live.
