Making a complaint

If you wish to complain about Australia Post’s services, in the first instance you must contact Australia Post. You can do this by contacting Australia Post on their customer contact number 13 76 78, or visit the Australia Post website. If you are not satisfied with the response you receive from Australia Post regarding your complaint, then you may contact the Commonwealth Ombudsman.

Department of Communications

The Minister for Communications and the Minister for Finance are the two Ministers who have responsibility for Australia Post under their portfolios. Australia Post is a Government Business Enterprise. As such, the Minister has limited powers to direct Australia Post. Australia Post is responsible for its own day-to-day operations.
