Sub Contractors
If you are a sub contractor to a mail contractor, you are eligible for POAAL associate membership. You will then be able to access the Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurance of the POAAL Insurance Plan, as well as Marine Cargo (Goods in Transit) and PDT (hand held scanner) insurance.
Download an Expression of Interest form. Print it off and send it to POAAL. POAALís contact details are listed on the form. The POAAL membership year for sub-contractors commences on 1 July. Subbies joining after July will be billed on a pro rata basis.
If you take Public Liability, Marine Cargo or PDT Insurance with your POAAL membership you will be sent a Certificate of Insurance for the relevant insurances. You must give Australia Post a copy of the certificate/s. Do not give them the original certificate/s ñ keep them for your own records.
Other benefits of membership include access to discounts on tyres and servicing through Bob Jane T-Marts and Midas, and eligibility to become an API Leisure and Lifestyle member.
